Oh how I needed this. I am currently digging deeper into my insecurities surrounding sex. Surface-speaking, it’s about religious oppression in my first marriage that lasted 19 years, then leaving that sadness and being confronted by perimenopause and menopause and all their lovely gifts.

But I intend to find relief from the shyness that often paralyzes me in these later years and keeps me feeling a far cry from the sensual goddess that I truly am.

You've warmed my heart; thank you for wanting to see the sensual goddess that you truly are.

I am happy to read your words, and I wish you to bend like a tree in the wind by embracing your shyness without being paralized, which I really hope it will reveal to you another dimension.

Your story...it appears that you have been through a lot, and I regret for going through it all for so many years.

Flowers, animals, and humans all have the amazing ability to bounce back.

Keep your fire alive; we, as women, have enormous power; trust that you will learn to let go, surrender, and relax into your fresh sense of self. With a new sense of self, new, better, healed people will come in your way to mirror your sensual goddess. :)

Yes, this is an important topic. We live a life full of patterns, learned information, and behaviors that do not benefit us, let alone free us. I will continue to write about how we can unconsciously sabotage ourselves in a life we only get to live once. Thank you again! :)

Excellent read! Ugh Freud bothers me so much — this was the same man who said that women are jealous of men because we are unfinished male bodies and have genital envy 🙄 Your work is very important and thank you for writing.

Thank you so much, Vashti! Yes, I agree. Like any human, Freud had his own reality projections and wishes, which limited his research to that era. However, because of him, we have access to a wide range of information, and for the rest, we have Carl Jung :)) to help us understand our psyche in deeper, more mystic, and spiritual ways.

Absolutely! Not every human is perfect of course, and their contributions DO matter even if there is a tint of bias in the work.

Well said! One thing is surely free of bias: we, as women, are spectacular! <3
