I haven't seen the ego and all it's meaning described and explained as well or as in depth as you have here. Thank you thank you! Will be referencing this for weeks to come!

This comment means a lot to me, and I appreciate you sharing it. I was having a few reservations about the structure and length (trying to cover as much) of my postings, so this comment arrived at the perfect moment! I thank you!:)

Mind blown. And I love the art. I've been going through a huge integration after early retirement - I had no idea that work was almost all of me, I relied on my title for introductions and preened at my importance until I fell off the ledge and landed with a thump. I'm listening to Eckhart Tolle on my walks, and last night one of his concepts ended up in my dreams! So it's helping. I think. New subscriber!

Your reaction to the article is much appreciated! Your path of growth and discovery sounds amazing! Reevaluating our identities as well as goals is something that retirement frequently forces us to do. Concepts put forward by Eckhart Tolle have the potential to bring about profound personal transformation. Thanks for signing up as a new subscriber, I welcome you!

This is so fascinating! I’m intrigued by the concept of ego. I’ve heard Marcus Aubrey speak about the ego as the daemon and want to understand it more.

Thank you for your comment, Dan! I'm glad you want to better understand this term. Concerning the Ego as a demon or our enemy, I prefer and believe that it is neither good nor bad; it is like a shadow that follows us as long as the sun (true self) shines, and it is up to us to recognize and be willing to observe ourselves. I also believe that everything has more nuances and that extremes, such as good and bad, are narrowing our perspective.

A very good synthesis of the Ego from the both perspectives.
